Grief & Loss
Complex and prolonged grief may no longer be a life sentence.
Induced After Death Communication (IADC)
Induced After Death Communication (IADC) is a therapeutic technique aimed at helping individuals process intense grief and trauma related to the loss of a loved one. Developed by Dr. Allan Botkin, it incorporates Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a widely recognised method for resolving emotional distress. During IADC sessions, bilateral stimulation is used to help clients access deep emotional states and process unresolved feelings about their loss.

As the therapy progresses, some clients report experiencing spontaneous, vivid mental imagery, sensations, or interactions they interpret as communication with the deceased. These experiences often provide a sense of comfort, closure, and emotional relief, enabling individuals to find peace and move forward with their lives.

IADC is non-invasive and does not rely on suggestion or hypnosis, focusing instead on natural responses. While scientific validation is ongoing, it has shown promise as an innovative approach to alleviating persistent grief and fostering healing.
Who I work with
Patients who have not been diagnosed with any underlying mental health conditions and have experienced persistent grief for longer than 6 months that interferes with their quality of life.
How it works
IADC uses eye movement similar to EMDR, which activates the brain's healing processes. Clients often report feeling a sense of communication with the deceased, which helps release emotional pain.
Outcome
IADC aims to relieve unresolved grief, bring closure, and promote emotional healing and acceptance.
